The Protégé, Esq. - Q&A Series - Ins and Outs of Imposter Syndrome with Crystal Young, M.S., LCSW
In celebration of Mental Health Awareness Month, we sat down and talked all things Imposter Syndrome with @chatwithcrys — everything from how to identify it to tips and advice on how to keep it from getting in your way.
When experiencing feelings of inadequacy at any level, there simultaneously exists feelings of a lack of control. Crystal empowers us by emphasizing that one of the main ways to combat Imposter Syndrome is by placing the agency we have over ourselves back in our hands as individuals and taking accountability by checking ourselves, setting realistic goals, and practicing mindfulness. Through these techniques, Crystal makes us aware that we have the power to create healthy mental and physical habits that help us show up as our best selves in our respective fields, be successful and be happy because we are more than deserving to have it all!
